Chicory Chai is a decade-old jewelry design studio that creates wearable art. We celebrate the journey of metal from ore to ornament, shaped by the many hands of our master craftsmen. Each piece embraces the raw edges and the unpolished yet refined marks of manual artistry, making it one-of-a-kind.

We aspire to be torchbearers of heritage craft practices like repoussé and chasing, fret work, enameling and lapidary. We have a romantic obsession with a past where time moved slow and deep.

Our jewelry never has a perfect moment; nor is it ever permanent or complete. It is transient between thought, treasure and tradition.

Himani Mantri Grover started her Art & Design journey with grassroots projects developing jewelry clusters in Gujarat to make international markets accessible for traditional craftspeople. The next phase of her journey took her to Milan, Italy where she designed for Cartier, Ralph Lauren, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Piaget & Mont Blanc. In 2009, Himani decided to return to India with a vision to create a world-class Indian luxury brand. She started Chicory Chai in 2013 and, over the last 10 years, built an enviable body of work in both the commercial and artistic spheres.

Himani is a graduate of NIFT and went on to do her postgraduation from Creative Academy, Milan where she worked under the mentorship of Giampiero Bodino, Creative Director, Compagnie Financière Richemont SA, Geneva.

She's currently based in Gurgaon and is deeply interested in gastronomy and permaculture.
