Chicory Chai embraces ‘sustainability’ with a focus on production processes and sourcing of raw materials, following the philosophy of ‘Recycle, Repurpose, Revive and Restore’.

Jewelry is 100% handcrafted as opposed to the sum of industrially procured, hand-assembled elements. Our craftsmen use only hand tools to create jewelry with traditional techniques of metal smithing.

By eliminating the electroplating process (which releases harmful chemical toxins in the environment) we not only control the industrial waste but also prevent toxins from reaching your skin.

We do not use any power run tools or machines, besides the buffing machine thus minimizing the use of electricity. Bio-fuel is mostly used during procurement of raw materials and delivery to the customer. Minimal semi-toxic fumes get released during soldering of metals. 

A special in-house bio-enzyme made by fermentation of organic waste cleans up any surface residue or patina thus limiting the use of any chemical treatments.
